It seems like the launch of the second gen Moto 360 is nigh as Motorola has decided to slash the pricing of the original Moto 360 by $100, meaning that the entry level variant now starts from $149.99, which is an incredible price for a wearable of this caliber. The pricing is also valid from the Google Store, but you will need to go to the Moto Maker website if you’re looking to hand pick the kind of bands/straps that you’d like for your device.
Although Motorola doesn’t make it abundantly clear that this is a permanent price reduction, we really think that’s the case given that the release of the next gen Moto 360 should take place sometime in September, perhaps alongside the 2015 Moto X.
So if you’ve always been hesitant to get the Moto 360 over pricing concerns, this should finally put those worries to rest. The Moto 360 was one of the first round faced (flat tire) smartwatches to break cover, which was one of the primary reasons for its popularity. Even though the likes of the LG G Watch R was launched shortly after, the Moto 360 remained in demand.
