The OnePlus 2 is going to be the first Android smartphone to pack the reversible USB Type-C connector. And now, Evleaks has confirmed that the Huawei Nexus smartphone that is set for a November 2015 release will also pack the same port on board, which means you will no longer have to shuffle while inserting the charging cable on your phone.
This is essentially a universal standard of Apple’s Lightning port, which allows users to insert a cable in either direction, while standard micro USB only allows the cable to be attached one way. One of the primary advantages of USB Type-C is the blazing fast data transfer speeds that it brings to devices, so it’s a big upgrade for mobile devices.
The Huawei Nexus made an appearance in the leaks yesterday when Evleaks mentioned that the handset would pack a 5.7 inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC and a fingerprint scanner, so the inclusion of a USB Type-C connector makes a lot of sense.
What do you make of this rumored inclusion with the next major Nexus flagship?
