This post will address an issue that’s plaguing Galaxy S5 owners especially those who are under Sprint. We did receive several emails from our readers who reported they keep getting a while screen that contains this: <HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Success</TITLE></HEAD><BODY>Success</BODY></HTML>.
Some said the white screen pops up every 45 seconds or so while others reported it takes about 3 minutes for the screen to show up on their devices. It’s not really clear what caused it and as of this moment we’re still in the dark as far as this issue is concerned. But just so it’s clear, it’s not exclusive to Galaxy S5. Some iOS device owners also complained about this problem. It also concerns some Android users owning other phones with different brands and models.
But let me remind you, this post is intended for Sprint subscribers that use Galaxy S5. If you are connected with a different carrier, then the troubleshooting procedures I cited here won’t work for you. Rest assured, though, that we will dig more information about this problem to address your concerns.

Now, let’s go back to the main problem. It’s imperative that you address this issue because you won’t be able to get good internet connection if it remained unsolved. In this case, you have two options and they’re actually related because both use the carrier-specific service called Connections Optimizer.
Please note that the Connections Optimizer is present only in Sprint devices. It is supposed to help make your device connected all the time but it is actually more of a “manager” than an “optimizer.”
First option: Turn off Connections Optimizer
While it comes as a pre-installed service on your device, Sprint actually gives you an option to disable it should you not want it to manage your connections and that’s the first thing you should try to fix this problem.
- From the Home screen, slide your finger from the top of the screen down to pull the Notification bar.
- Touch the Settings icon (cogwheel).
- Scroll to the Network Connections section and touch More networks.
- Now tap Mobile networks.
- Touch Connections optimizer.
- Untick the checkbox next to Connections optimizer to turn it off.
With the feature turned off, you can now manage which network your phone connects regardless of the signal strength. In case the problem remained after disabling this feature, then proceed to the next option.
Second option: Disable Connections Optimizer
There is a difference between “turning off” and “disabling” Connections optimizer in this post. When you turn it off via Settings, you are just preventing the service to manage your connections but it still runs in the background and somehow, affects some of the processes. That’s the reason why the problem may not be fixed by simply turning it off. So, you need to disable it entirely to prevent it from running.
- From any Home screen, tap Apps.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to ‘APPLICATIONS,’ then tap Application manager.
- Swipe right to the ALL screen.
- Scroll to and tap Connections optimizer.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Tap Clear data, then OK.
- Now tap Disable to prevent it from running.
Please note that the service will remain disabled until you enable it back. So far, these are the only options that have a potential to fix this problem. We will try to research more on this issue.
