The Sony Xperia Z5 will be unveiled later this year, according to a new revelation. The report also goes on to say that the smartphone will be featuring hardware that would make it the most powerful Android handset in the market. This notion alone makes us want to take the report with a pinch of salt.
It is said that the handset will pack a Snapdragon 820 SoC, which was only recently announced. In addition to this, the handset is also expected to be packing 4GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner and a 4,500 mAh battery. The handset is also said to be packing a 20.7-megapixel camera that we’ve seen in multiple Sony flagships in the past, including the recently unveiled Xperia Z4/Z3+.
The report goes on to mention that Sony has the Xperia Z5 Ultra as well as a Compact version in the making, both scheduled for a release sometime this year. If this leak is anything to go by, it seems like Sony will have a very busy 2015, especially during the latter stages of the year. The company usually releases its flagships at the IFA event in September, but it’s likely that this deadline will be missed this year.
