LG is expected to release a new Nexus handset later this year, along with the Huawei made Nexus phablet of course. Today, we’re getting our first possible glimpse of the device if a word from a renowned tipster is anything to go by. What we have here is a case/cover meant for the alleged LG Nexus handset. This is merely an image of the mockup and not the device itself, but it’s plenty to go with considering that it’s a new leak.
It is said that this is a very early design of the handset and the actual appearance could change drastically when the device breaks cover later in the year. We can see three different slots on the back here. While it’s common practice to have two slots (camera and LED flash), the third one strongly suggests the use of a fingerprint scanner.
Since this is Google’s flagship product, it makes sense that the device would pack a fingerprint scanner by default. This is going to be a common feature in upcoming devices given Android M’s support for fingerprint scanning tech by default.
