AT&T Galaxy S6 Active now getting its first software update

Galaxy S6 Active

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was recently announced by AT&T and Samsung after weeks of being part of leaks. The handset is now officially getting its very first update, bringing no significant changes on board. The smartphone is still running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop while the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Active have already received the Android 5.1 update.

The update is not too large at 146MB, but make sure you’re on a WiFi connection to ensure that it doesn’t eat into your cellular data cap. The update notification should be hitting the device anytime now, so make sure you hit the link below for more details.

The Galaxy S6 Active was announced as the water resistant version of the Galaxy S6 and is pretty stellar as far as hardware is concerned. The handset is tailor made for customers who need a device with the hardware and software of the Galaxy S6 along with the durability of a rugged phone.
