ASUS’ PadFone series has seen relative success in the global markets. And now, a new report claims that the company’s PadFone 2 tablet-smartphone hybrid will take things to the next level with some impressive hardware credentials.
It is said that the PadFone 2 will come with a 5 inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC, a 21-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 3,060 mAh battery as well as 4GB of RAM underneath, which should make it a powerhouse as far as performance is concerned.
The accompanying tablet is expected to be sporting a 10.1 inch display with a 5,100 mAh battery to power the device for long intervals. This PadFone 2 will supposedly release next year, by when the Snapdragon 820 is expected to be a standard on flagship devices.
Considering the controversy surrounding the Snapdragon 810, it seems like more manufacturers could be looking to embrace Snapdragon 820 this year. It was revealed yesterday as to how OnePlus could be throttling the CPU speed on the OnePlus 2 (Snapdragon 810) to curb the overheating issues.
