The Xiaomi Mi Band wearable was launched by the company in September last year. The wearable is now sold across Europe and is available in the U.S. too thanks to the company’s dedicated online portal. The Chinese manufacturer has now announced that it has shipped 6 million units of this wearable, speaking volumes about its success in the market.
This comes after IDC posted marketshare results which pegged Xiaomi to be the second highest selling wearable vendor with 24.6% marketshare. It will be interesting to see if the wearable’s recent arrival in the American market will have an impact on the sales figures. The fact that it’s selling for a meager $15 might have a crucial role to play in its success.
Xiaomi offers sleep tracking, pedometer and several other health metrics in accordance with the Mi Fit app. So this is your perfect companion if you want to give the wearable form factor a try for the very first time.
