The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was recently launched by AT&T in the U.S. As the name suggests, this is a ruggedized version of the Galaxy S6 and comes with physical rubberized buttons on the front to avoid water damage. So how durable is the handset? A user decided to test it out in a series of videos.
The videos cover two core bases – durability and water resistance. The durability was tested by dropping the device from 12 feet above ground while the water proofing was tested by keeping the device submerged underwater for 30 minutes.
The results are fairly satisfying as the device didn’t seem to have any water logging related issues and even survived the significantly high drop. This will do wonders for the Galaxy S6 Active and could convince users of its capabilities. The smartphone is an exclusive via AT&T in the U.S. and will probably remain that way for the foreseeable future.
Check out the videos below to see how the device performed.
