The Sony Xperia Z3 is only available through T-Mobile and Verizon (as the Xperia Z3v) in the U.S. And now, the T-Mobile variant of the Sony flagship is receiving the Android 5.0 update, bringing much joy to the users of the handset.
In addition to bringing all the Material Design goodness, the smartphone also receives support for the 700 MHz Band 12 4G LTE frequencies, ensuring improved 4G LTE network access for the customers.
The update has started rolling out since midnight yesterday (Pacific Time), so it’s likely that your smartphone already has the update. The official T-Mobile and Sony pages are yet to reflect the changes, but we expect that to change over the course of the day.
Have you started receiving the update on your smartphone? Make sure you let us know in the comments section below. The update comes with the suite of Sony related changes as well, so you won’t find a stock Android UI on the handset post the update.
