Note 2 Network Disappears Then Phone Freezes

Problem: Hi there, My problem with my Note 2 is network goess off and then it freezes like a hell. When I reboot, Samsung logo screen pops up and it stays like that forever unless I charge the phone. There is no way I can restart without charging it. Do u have any idea how to deal with it? I’ve been using all the authentic products of Samsung on this note 2. I haven’t used SD card on this so far either. I perused most of your solutions online. But seems like nobody has faced this kinda problem I’m facing now. Could you help?

Solution:  The first thing that you need to do in this case is to backup your phone data and do a factory reset. This allows you to eliminate any software related problems that may be causing the issue.

  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key.
  • When ‘GALAXY Note II’ appears on the screen, release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.
  • When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
  • Press Power button to select.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘delete all user data.’
  • Press Power button to select and start the master reset. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to turn the restart the device.

If the problem persists try using a new battery on your phone and if that fails this may already be a hardware related issue. You will need to bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.

Note 2 Mobile Data Freezes When Online

Problem: My phone gets a red x where the 4g logo should be and freezes up whenever I get on the internet. Then it will shut down and keep turning off and on until I take out the battery, put it back in and put it on the charger. It also drains my battery almost instantly when this happens.. for example if it’s on 100% when the red x pops up, after I take the battery out(for about 2 seconds) and put it back in my phone will be on about 12% once it’s cut back on. Do you have any idea what this could be?

Solution: Just like the problem above you will need to eliminate any software related causes by backing up your phone data and doing a factory reset.

If the issue persists then try getting a new battery and use it on your phone.

If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the issue then this may already be a hardware related problem. You will need to bring your phone to an authorized service center for checking.

Note 2 Mobile Data Stops Working

Problem: I have a Samsung note 2 SGH-I327 MOBILE and when I am inside my house or work and sometimes on bus my data stops working and I go into roaming mode? When people call goes directly to answering machine. I’ve been in contact with provider numerous times and they can’t figure it out and have also taken it in for tech support and reinstalled firmware and factory reset and still nothing. It’s been 2 weeks with having to use WiFi as my only connection? Please help.

Solution: Have you verified if the issue is not network related? Try placing your SIM in another phone and see if you can replicate the problem. If the problem is the same then this may be network related. You will have to contact your carrier regarding this.

If however the issue does not occur when your SIM is in another phone then the issue may be with your Note 2.

Is the roaming feature of your phone active? Try turning it off and see if this makes any difference.

  • Press Apps.
  • Press Settings.
  • Press More settings.
  • Press Mobile networks.
  • Press Data roaming to turn the function on or off.
  • Press OK, if required.

If the issue still persists after this then you may have a hardware problem. Bring your phone to an authorized service center and have the hardware of your phone checked.
