Samsung to ship 45 million units of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge combined

Deutsche Bank’s new report claims that Samsung is in line to ship 45 million units of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge later this year. This is consistent with initial predictions from the two smartphones, which can only mean good news for the Korean manufacturer.

It was recently revealed that Samsung’s internal sales targets have been met in South Korea, which is a big plus for the company. However, we’re not sure if the same can be said about the global markets where the competition is much tighter among flagships. An almost contrasting report mentioned that Samsung was failing to meet its targets and is on the verge of imploding, so it might not exactly be smooth sailing for Samsung.

Since these are all analyst or third party reports, it’s hard to take them at face value. But we expect to get a better picture of the sales as we progress further into the year. The company’s quarterly results will also be a very good indicator of how things are faring for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.

  1. Samsung would surely sell a lot more if they left the SD option along with a better removable battery.
