A few days ago we saw an image of a Galaxy S6 Edge variant in the wild, sporting a slightly larger display panel on board. A new leak is now giving us a glimpse of what is said to be the press image of the smartphone, although it looks no different from the standard Galaxy S6 Edge.
It is believed that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus comes with a 5.5 inch display on board, while the resolution should remain unchanged. The handset is shown to be carrying the following dimensions – 154.45 x 75.80 x 6.85mm, suggesting a very slender exterior.
It is being said that this variant will sport the Snapdragon 808 chipset on board instead of the Exynos 7420, which could possibly be the only change apart from the bump in the display size.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is supposed to break cover sometime in the third quarter of 2015 apparently, so we’re guessing Samsung will unveil the device at the IFA 2015 event in September. This event will also see the launch of the Galaxy Note 5.
