The 2014 Moto X is all set to get a successor by the second half of 2015. And now, we might have gotten our very first glimpse of the handset with a device named the Motorola Calisto making its way to the import listing site Zauba in India. The listing reveals that the handset has arrived from Canada for “testing purpose” in its customary fashion.
Although not much is revealed about the device itself, it is shown that the handset has a value of 29,775 INR which is about $449 and well in line with Motorola’s current pricing strategy. Motorola is expected to reveal the next gen Moto X by August or September this year, so it makes sense that the device has made its way for testing now.
We must reiterate that the company usually gives an estimated price for the device, based roughly on the hardware. So this isn’t the final price mentioned above. The 2015 Moto X should be packing a 2K display, a 16-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB of RAM and Android 5.1 Jelly Bean.
