We saw the 2015 Moto X leaking out yesterday carrying what seemed to be a fingerprint scanner. A new set of images have now leaked out, revealing that what we saw earlier was nothing but a early pre-production model as we don’t see the fingerprint scanner. There are a total of two images that have leaked out here, both showing the area beneath the camera fully enclosed.
The second image even shows the wireless charging coil, which has been a feature of Motorola flagships over the past couple of years. But this report strongly contradicts what we heard yesterday, which is slightly disappointing news for those expecting a fingerprint scanner with Motorola’s next major flagship.
At this point, it’s hard to say anything with certainty, so we suggest you take the report with a grain of salt. The third generation Moto X is only a few months away from launch, so fortunately, we don’t have to wait long to find out if there’s any credence to this report.
