The HTC One Max smartphone was launched in 2013 by the company as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note series. Although it failed to deliver on that front, the device is still used by many out there. And as its sibling, the One M7, started receiving the Android 5.0 update a couple of months ago, customers were getting a little agitated at the lack of interest from HTC towards the One Max.
Well, it seems like HTC has finally made up its mind to send out the update to the One Max, as per owners across the world (at least in Europe). This means the carrier variants are still awaiting the update, so don’t get your hopes up just yet. The update is slightly on the hefty side at 760.15MB, so it’s recommended that you’re on an unlimited WiFi connection before downloading it on your device.
The update will introduce some Material Design elements, stability and security improvements along with an upgrade to the Sense UI as well. Are you already seeing the update on your One Max? Make sure you let us know below.
