When the HTC One M9 was announced in late February and subsequently announced in April, many pegged it to be a dud. This was partly because of the overheating issues that were observed in some demo units and also the lack of innovation from the company as far as the design and features were concerned.
A new report now tells us that despite all those issues, the company managed to sell nearly 4.75 million units of the device since its arrival in early April, which isn’t a big number by the company’s standards, but tells us that the company hasn’t had such a torrid time after all. The profits for the company have supposedly fallen by 80% year-on-year, which is a serious concern for the Taiwanese manufacturer.
It is said that this is just 43.75% of what the HTC One M8 sold last year during the three month period, so it’s not very good news for HTC, especially given its financial state. Were you impressed with the One M9 from HTC?
