The ASUS ZenFone Selfie smartphone has just been announced by the manufacturer at Computex Taiwan. The smartphone as the name aptly suggests is targeted towards the selfie crazy and comes with a mammoth 13-megapixel f/2.2 sensor (24mm wide angle lens) on the front. The device also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, but with a slightly larger f/2.0 sensor with a 28mm lens for better imagery.
The smartphone is also packing the 5.5 inch 1080p display, 2/4GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of storage options, an octa core Snapdragon 615 SoC, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 3,000 mAh battery pack. The company has also clarified that the device is using Gorilla Glass 4 here, so you are ensured to be getting the best out of ASUS with this new offering.
There is no word on the pricing or availability of the smartphone at the moment, but we’re guessing it will eventually make its way to the U.S., just like the HTC Desire Eye which arrived Stateside through AT&T.
