Xiaomi’s most recent handset, the Mi 4i is now said to be getting a new update which supposedly fixes the overheating issues seen on some units of the device. The company sent out the MIUI V220.127.116.11 update last week to adjust the thermal control on the device.
However, this update was seen to be facing some other issues, so Xiaomi was quick enough to stop its rollout altogether. The company is now said to be sending out a new update MIUI V18.104.22.168 with a fix for the issue later this week. The company hasn’t shared more details about this update, so it’s not known if there are any other new features or fixes in tow.
The Android version on the device should remain unchanged at 5.0.2, so don’t expect any changes in that regard. The Mi 4i is the company’s midrange handset with a 5 inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 SoC, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, 3,120 mAh battery and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
