Shazam has been our go to app for discovering new songs that’s playing on the radio or finding out that new show you stumbled across on the TV. The app has just gotten better with the developers adding support for Android Wear smartwatches.
This essentially means that you can ID songs while on the go with a simple “Ok Google, Shazam this song” command. This has been long expected by users of Android Wear and they’ll be finally relieved to find it on their wearable.
Much like any other Android Wear app, users won’t have to install a new app to get this and will merely have to look for an update to the Shazam app on their primary smartphone. This updated app will automatically bring an icon on your Android Wear app drawer and even support commands as the one mentioned above.
The songs that you ID using the Android Wear app are automatically added to your My Shazams list, so that you can find them later when needed. If you don’t have the update yet, we suggest you head over to the My Apps page on the Google Play Store and look there for an update.
If you don’t have Shazam on your phone at all, now might be a good time to get it.
