Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 getting Android 5.0.2 update

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4

According to a new report, Samsung has officially commenced the rollout of the Android 5.0.2 for the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. This is the company’s budget oriented tablet, so the customers will certainly welcome the news.

The update is being sent out to the unlocked models first while the carrier variants probably won’t receive it until a few more weeks. Most of the features here will be identical to what we’ve seen on the company’s TouchWiz running devices, so don’t expect any new upgrades in that area. You will be able to find lock screen notifications, and some other performance related upgrades on board as well.

The tablet broke cover last year with a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 display, 16GB of internal storage, 1.5GB of RAM, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and a 6,800 mAh battery. If you own an unlocked version of the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 and are receiving the update, make sure you let us know by dropping a line below.

  1. I had the update this morning. After the update finished I restarted my tab 4 and found that the app I use the most was now uninstalled. I went to reinstall it and I get the same message everytime I try “Google Play Has Stopped Working”. I’m trying to find help but am not being very successful.
