A few days ago, we came across reports which hinted that Samsung was looking to launch the Galaxy Note 5 smartphone much before Apple releases the new set of iPhones this September. A July timeframe was being floated around as well.
The company’s chief of mobile division, JK Shin has now mentioned that these reports are completely false and that the company has no intentions of launching the Galaxy Note 5 earlier than scheduled. This would come as slightly disappointing news to Samsung fans as they were eagerly looking forward to the launch of the next big thing from the Korean manufacturer.
During this press conference, Shin also expressed strong optimism with regards to the sale of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. He brushed aside reports of the devices being slow starters and expected them to do very well over the course of the months. At this point, it seems like the Galaxy Note 5 will not be unveiled until September, so the fans might have to wait a bit longer to see the device.
