The OnePlus One successor is expected to be launching later this year. The CEO of OnePlus has now confirmed in an interview that the smartphone will be packing the Snapdragon 810 chipset which has been subject to lot of criticism from within the industry.
He also mentioned that the smartphone will be priced at somewhere close to 2,499 CNY ($402), which is pretty reasonable for a flagship level smartphone. This goes to show that the OnePlus Two will not be too expensive compared to the OnePlus One, which could prove to be a crucial factor in its success when it breaks cover later this year.
We’re guessing OnePlus has worked things over with Qualcomm as far as the Snapdragon 810 is concerned. Qualcomm has been very defensive about these allegations, although evidence suggests otherwise. If nothing works, OnePlus might even go with the Snapdragon 808 chipset as we’ve seen LG take the same route.
