Samsung’s Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro series have always catered to the high end productivity oriented markets. It seems like the company is ready to push the envelope this year with a potential successor leaking out today. This mystery Samsung tablet is shown to be running on Intel’s Z8500 quad core SoC with a clock speed of 2.24 GHz.
With a single core score of 1005 and a multi-core score of 3426, the ‘Samsung Chopin’ tablet is certainly one of the most powerful tablets to come out of the company’s sheds.
Obviously, Chopin is just an early codename for the tablet and we expect the device to be rechristened under the Galaxy Tab series when it’s ready for launch. Intel processors are always known for their desktop grade performance, so these results don’t surprise us.
It is further said that the ‘Chopin’ will feature 4GB of RAM inside, an LTE chip and Android 5.1 Lollipop. The company as usual has been tight lipped about this device for now, but we expect more information to come through as we progress into the latter part of 2015.
