LG and AT&T have jointly released the G Pad F tablet, which is one of the first in the market to come with a full sized USB port, letting you transfer data between an external device and the tablet seamlessly.
You can get the tablet from AT&T under its $0 down payment plan where you will have to shell out $12.50 per month for a period of 20 months, translating to a price of $250. If you’re looking to get the device on contract though, you will only have to shell out $149.99 up front. The tablet will be available for purchase starting May 29 in both online and brick-and-mortar outlets.
The G Pad F comes with an 8 inch HD+ display, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable) Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 4,200 mAh battery pack.
The software experience on the tablet is heavily skinned so you will find features like Q Pair, Dual Window, Quick Memo etc on board. The company mentions that the USB port on the tablet also supports productivity devices, so it functionality is not just limited to supporting external storage units.
