Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy S6 Edge in a special limited edition Iron Man avatar after teasing its arrival a few days ago. The company claims that this device was produced in “celebration of the technological innovation and creative visual storytelling in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
The device has a prominence of red and gold colors and will be available in very limited quantities and only in select markets according to the company. It is said that a 1000 units of the smartphone will go on sale in South Korea tomorrow where the first 100 users will also get a Avengers Special Briefcase and the 100 buyers after that will receive two tickets to Marvel Avengers Station Exhibition.
The company is offering the 64GB model here and it comes in its own customized box, complete with Iron Man etchings all over. The smartphone will cost 1,199,000 Korean Won which is the equivalent of $1082. The standard unlocked 64GB model of the Galaxy S6 Edge costs somewhere around the $1000 mark, so we’re not in a position to complain as far as the pricing is concerned. This model will also make its way to Hong Kong and China next month, while Samsung has remained tight lipped about a potential American or European release.
