Samsung has been rumored to be launching two new variants of the Galaxy Tab S2, succeeding last year’s Galaxy Tab S series. Today, an image of the larger 9.7 inch variant has leaked out, giving us a good idea of what to expect.
Rumors had suggested that the tablet would be between 5.5 and 5.9mm in thickness and this image seems to reaffirm that to some extent. We also see that the company’s home button is well in place, while the homescreen image which doesn’t reveal much. Apart from this, there’s barely anything we can make out from this leak.
What’s slightly bizarre is the presence of six keys on one side of the device. They’re clearly volume rockers and power buttons, so it’s likely that this is either terrible photoshop work or simply an early render from Samsung. The tablets will supposedly break cover next month, sporting AMOLED displays and a slim exterior. The company hasn’t announced an event for the launch of these tablets yet, so we won’t be surprised if it will be launched in a low key affair.
