With HTC launching a myriad of high handsets over the past few weeks, one would imagine that the company would be done with its quota for the foreseeable future. But that’s clearly not the case if a new leak is anything to go by. A certification database has revealed the existence of the HTC One M9e, which is essentially a plastic variant of the One M9+. It is possible that the smartphone will have a new CPU on board as well.
The device has been spotted on the Chinese certification site, indicating that it might be an exclusive to the region. However, it doesn’t make sense for HTC to be launching another flagship, especially after the launch of the One M9+ not too long ago.
The One M9e is also revealed to be packing a fingerprint scanner on the front, while the back is lacking the depth focusing sensor that we saw on the One M9+. The rest of the features should remain unchanged here.
