The HTC One M9 and the One M9+ might not be making too much noise in the mobile industry, but the company is offering for some good news for the customers by announcing the Android M update for the aforementioned devices. HTC’s popular social media figure Jeff Gordon, gave out the information on Twitter.
He didn’t give away information on when the update will be sent out, but we’re guessing it could be anytime by November or December this year as that’s when Google starts sending it out for its Nexus smartphones and tablets. That’s quite a bit of waiting to do, but in any case, it’s commendable of HTC to provide confirmation to their users that the update will be rolled out in due time.
Android M introduces a myriad of changes to stock Android and includes features like improved app permissions, Android Pay, support for fingerprint scanners and a whole lot more. We also expect the likes of Samsung and Motorola to make announcements regarding Android M soon.
