AT&T has unveiled the LG Escape 2 smartphone through its retail channels carrying a price tag of $179.99 off contract. The highlight of this device is that it comes with a slightly curved display, which makes the price quite attractive.
If you’re willing to take the contract route, the smartphone will only cost you $0.99 (2-years). The handset has a 4.7 inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (expandable), Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Clearly, the LG Escape 2 is not a specs monster, but it promises to make some noise in the budget segment given the sort of hardware on board. Staying in line with the rest of its lineup, the LG Escape 2 comes with rear mounted action keys such as volume up/down and power.
The display is not as curved as on the G Flex2, but it’s prominent enough to strike out at first glance. If contracts or no contracts aren’t your thing, the AT&T Next 30-month installment program will set you back by just $6 per month, which is also worth a look if you’re not willing to make a big investment up front.
