According to a new report, AT&T and Sprint have begun the rollout of a new update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. The AT&T update is said to be weighing in at a hefty 236.92MB while the Sprint update is said to be only 130MB.
The software version still remains on Android 5.0.2 though, so this isn’t the Android 5.1 update that was expected to begin rolling out soon. It is possible that this is the update that brings fingerprint scanner related upgrades, which has only recently began rolling out to global variants of its two flagships.
Both updates are arriving as an OTA, but you can manually try pulling the update manually by heading over to the Settings page on the smartphones. Interested users can alternatively try Samsung Kies on your desktop to pull the update. There’s no changelog available for this update yet, but we don’t expect there to be massive changes on board.
Are you seeing the aforementioned updates on your AT&T or Sprint Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge? Sound off below.
