The rumor mill has been rife with reports of OnePlus launching the second gen variant of its One flagship later this year. And if a new benchmark listing is anything to go by, we might have already received our first glimpse of the hardware running underneath the device.
The leak comes from GeekBench, which is renowned to have revealed several smartphones and tablets ahead of their scheduled arrival date. The device which is known as “OnePlus ONE A2001” is shown to be packing the octa core Snapdragon 810 SoC. However, the clock speed of the processor has been cut down to just 1.5 GHz. So it’s likely that the device was running on a relatively lower CPU speed.
The listing also reveals that the handset has 3GB of RAM with Android 5.1 running by default, but nothing else apart from that. Considering that the OnePlus 2 is expected to be still a few months away from launch, we are taking this leak with a grain of salt.
