America’s largest carrier, Verizon Wireless, has been relatively behind as far as rolling out software updates are concerned. The same applies to its LG G3 flagship which is now one of the last carrier variants in the U.S. to get the Android 5.0 update. It has been a couple of months since LG originally issued the update to the unlocked versions of the handset, so the carrier has taken quite a bit of time in bringing the update to its customers.
The update will introduce an all new UI layer which will improve fluidity and performance to a great extent. However, don’t expect any Material Design or stock Android like visuals here as LG has taken a different route with regards to the appearance of this new skin.
The features of stock Android are well in place though and you will find them all throughout the system. Although Verizon has begun the rollout a few days ago, it might take a while before appearing on all devices. Have you received the update on your Verizon LG G3? Let us know below.
