While T-Mobile is now allowing customers to manually update their LG G3 devices through sideloading the file onto their device, you still can’t have it automatically get installed. But on April 7th, the LG G3 will be able to automatically get Lollipop OTA.
T-Mobile’s Senior Product Manager Desmond Smith confirmed this on Twitter in a tweet he sent out earlier today.

Once you get the update, you will then be able to experience all of Lollipop’s benefits including Material Design, revamped notifications, and more. The LG G2 Lollipop data is still in internal testing, but hopefully it’ll arrive soon.
