The LG G4 is expected to be unveiled on the 28th of April, with a formal launch expected to follow shortly after. An LG official quoted by a Korean source has now claimed that the smartphone will not go easy on the customers’ wallets. It is believed that the smartphone will be priced somewhere between the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, giving us an estimate of about $800-900.
This could be justified if leaks are anything to go by with LG expected to use a superior grade camera and a powerful display on the device. However, if LG wants to take on the Samsung Galaxy S6, it has to price its flagship aggressively enough to be considered a competitor.
These are still early reports as LG hasn’t confirmed this in the public domain, so we won’t jump to conclusions just yet. LG has told us already that it is using a professional grade camera on the G4, so people might not mind paying a premium for the device.
