A few days ago, we spoke about Motorola testing the Android 5.1 update for the first gen Moto X. It now seems like Motorola has gone ahead and started sending out the update, at least to some users internationally. It is not clear as to when the company will send out the update to American variants of the handset, but it shouldn’t be far away now.
The update change log which is in Portuguese, mentions that the update will introduce changes to Moto Actions, Moto Display and some other crucial Motorola features in addition to bringing stock Android related changes. The company will also add the flashlight gesture feature that we saw on the Android 5.1 update for the 2014 Moto X.
The update will probably make its way to unlocked variants first, which is usually the case with global Android updates. Do you own a first gen Moto X? Sound off below.
