LG has already begun the Android 5.0 rollout for the unlocked versions of the LG G3. A new report now tells us that American carrier T-Mobile is currently working on the update, but for the LG G2 as well. The G2 has almost taken a backseat on our minds ever since the LG G3 was announced, so this report has certainly come as a surprise to us.
AT&T and Sprint models of the LG G3 have already received the Android 5.0 update, so it’s only a matter of time until T-Mobile began the rollout as well. The fact that the carrier is currently testing the update tells us that the official rollout is not far away.
Early impressions of LG’s Android 5.0 ROM have been fairly neutral as the carrier was seen to have modified quite a bit of the stock Android features. The company has added quite a bit of its own features as well, which is noteworthy. We expect to hear more about these updates from T-Mobile over the coming days.
