Samsung reportedly pausing Lollipop rollout for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5 in some parts of Europe

The Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S4 recently began receiving the Android 5.0 update in Norway. However, users are now reporting that the update rollout has been halted by the company citing issues with the firmware. Some users reportedly saw issues with the Contacts app not functioning and the freezing of process, thus hindering functionality.

It is being said that Samsung has confirmed this on their official Facebook page in Norway, so it seems to be a legitimate concern. It’s unknown if this same issue impacts the current versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S5 in rest of the world markets which have already received the Android 5.0 update now.

We’ll wait for further confirmation from Samsung to learn about the extent of these bugs. Samsung has also begun the Android 5.0 roll out for the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 4 recently, but users haven’t spotted any bugs on them yet.
