New Chrome extension fills blank browser tabs with art

Google Chrome Tabs

Folks at the Google Art Project have introduced a new Chrome extension which fills unused browser tabs with artwork. Users can pick from a variety of art, ranging from historic moments (photographs), world wonders etc.

After installing this extension, you will notice an artwork every time a new tab is opened. You can find a small icon on the bottom right corner of the browser on this tab, which is your link to the top sites. This is based on the frequency of your visits to those sites, assuming you don’t erase your browsing history.

I personally like the idea of getting something more out of the browser and be treated to something beautiful rather than a dull white page. If you choose to be shown artwork, you can find works from the likes of Vincent Van Gogh, Jacob van Hulsdonck, Claude Monet, Cézanne and many more. The developers would love your feedback, so make sure you give it a go from the link below.
