LG’s latest smartphone, the G Flex 2 can now be yours if you’re a resident of the U.S. The curved display flagship can be purchased from Sprint starting today with a contract price of $199.99. You can also get the smartphone through the carrier’s monthly instalment program for $21 per month or off contract at $504. The smartphone has been up for pre-order since last month, but it’s good to know that the device will finally start reaching customers’ hands.
The carrier has also announced the availability of an exclusive Volcano Red color variant. The device was originally announced back during the CES event in January, so it has taken quite a while to arrive in the markets. The G Flex 2 comes with a 5.5 inch Curved OLED 1080p display, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, 16/32GB of internal storage, 2/3GB of RAM, an octa core Snapdragon 810 SoC, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Initial reports had claimed that the Snapdragon 810 could be suffering from overheating related issues, something which was spotted on the One M9 as well. However, LG has clarified to the world that the chipset was seeing no such issues, at least in terms of performance.
