The HTC One M9+ has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now. The smartphone was expected to be announced during the MWC alongside the One M9, but that was not the case. New reports are claiming that HTC will launch this smartphone soon to take on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, which makes sense given that the HTC One M9 hasn’t exactly pleased the masses. A new image is now giving us a glimpse of the alleged prototype of the One M9+ posing alongside the One M9.
From first glance, it seems like there’s a lot different with regards to the design. First and foremost, the company seems to have divided the BoomSound speaker bar on the bottom into two portions to make way for a home button à la Samsung.
Also, the rear camera seems like an exact replica of the One M8 from last year, which is enough reason for us to treat this strictly as a leak for the time being. If rumors are true, this handset will feature a slightly larger display compared to the One M9 with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. There has been talk of HTC using the fingerprint scanner on the home button, but again, we haven’t received any confirmation of this as of yet.
