We’ve heard quite a bit about Samsung’s plans to launch an ultra slim version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S this year. A new report now suggests that the company will also have an 8 inch version of the tablet available for purchase while the first gen model was only available in 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch models.
This tablet has already made its way to India for testing purposes bearing the model number SM-T715. This confirms that the device is in fact legitimate.
It’s not known whether the Galaxy Tab S2 will have a larger variant, but the report seems to mention that the 8 inch model will be something to look forward to. Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy Tab S2 will pack a super slim metal chassis, making it one of the slimmest tablets going around.
Knowing what we’ve seen with the Galaxy S6 recently, this doesn’t seem like a tough feat to achieve for the Korean manufacturer. The Galaxy Tab S was known for its gorgeous AMOLED display, so it is obvious that the successor will not be any different in that regard.
Knowing that the Galaxy Tab S was unveiled in July last year, the successor might be revealed during the same timeframe this year.
