While many apps have changed over the years, Yelp’s app has been largely stagnant, largest since the Android 2.3 Gingerbread days. But with a new version 7 beta, Yelp is looking to change that.
What’s very clear about this update is that Yelp is looking to fit in with the modern design of Android, with new Material Design updates across the board. Here are some screenshots of the app’s new design, via Android Police.
For comparison, here is what the current public app’s design is.
As you can see, there is a very clear update of the design in the Yelp beta. If you would like to have it, join Yelp’s Google+ page and sign up for the beta.
