It was rumored that Samsung will cut down on the number of apps that are bundled with the Galaxy S6. A new revelation from today confirms this with the Korean manufacturer only expected to showcase applications like Galaxy Apps, S Voice as well as S Health.
The S Health app is necessary given the health oriented features expected to be on board the handset (heart rate monitor, pedometer etc). The S Voice application is Samsung’s Google Now or Siri like voice assistant, which hasn’t exactly been a crowd favorite. Galaxy Apps is the company’s exclusive app hub, which brings some exclusive content to Samsung devices.
It’s good to see that the manufacturer has cut down on other apps which are deemed rather unnecessary for Android phones. Samsung will however preinstall three Microsoft apps (OneNote, OneDrive and Skype) along with a series of Google apps which have to be installed by default on all Android devices.
Social networking apps like Facebook and WhatsApp will also be preinstalled with the Galaxy S6, according to the report.
What do you think about this list of apps which will be available on the Galaxy S6?
