The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S Edge flagships have just made an appearance on Samsung’s website carrying the model numbers SM-G920X and SM-G925X. Needless to say, these are placeholders for when Samsung officially unveils the smartphones on March 1. But since they’ve gone live ahead of schedule, it’s possible that Samsung will take them out.
The Galaxy S6 is expected to be accompanied by the Galaxy S6 Edge handset which should feature a dual sided curved display. Both smartphones are expected to feature a Quad HD display, a 20-megapixel camera, an octa core Exynos 7420 chipset, Android 5.0 Lollipop and some new TouchWiz related features.
The ‘X’ on the SM-G920X is not constant and is assigned to carriers and particular regions. For example, the AT&T version of the smartphone will be known as SM-G920A. The Galaxy S6 is expected to be one of the biggest flagships of 2015, but the likes of HTC, LG and a wide range of Asian manufacturers won’t make it easy for Samsung.
