Good news awaits customers of NVIDIA’s Shield devices as the company has now announced that the number of available titles on the GRID service has touched 40. Initially, only 20 games were made available for streaming, so it has certainly come a long way.
GRID can be downloaded directly from your Shield device through the Shield Hub application or from the Play Store. The service is being offered for free until June 30 2015, with the promise of new games being added every week.
Available titles include, Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2, Darksiders II and many more. The ability to stream a large number of games at any given time is certainly an attractive proposition. This service is sadly an exclusive to owners of the company’s Shield Portable and Shield Tablet.
NVIDIA is bringing Saints Row IV on GRID today, while Alan Wake will make its way to NVIDIA’s servers on the 24th of Feb and Metro Last Light Redux will be live on March 3. These three games will bring the total tally to 40, so as of now users will only have access to 38 games.
Have you used NVIDIA GRID before? What do you think of the service?
