Motorola already offers smartphone customization through the Moto Maker tool. The company will soon expand this to the Moto 360 smartwatch as well, letting customers select the color of their choice for the wrist bands.
The current options for the Moto 360 are limited to something along the lines of Black/silver/champagne gold case with a leather or standard strap, so it’s quite limited. But this new move will finally allow customers to get their favorite smartwatch in the colors of their choice.
Casing options will remain unchanged at Black, Silver and Champagne Gold, so nothing is changed in that regard. Speaking to Wired, an unnamed Motorola Source is believed to have said the following about these new customization options – “people are going to be more emotionally connected to their device if they’re part of the design process.”
Unfortunately, pricing options and availability details haven’t been disclosed as of yet. We’ll make sure you’re the first to know when we get word on that.
