LG unveiled the curved display toting G Flex 2 smartphone at the CES 2015 event last month. Not too long ago, American carrier Sprint started taking pre-orders for the handset. LG has now officially signalled the global arrival of the G Flex 2 handset starting with the U.S., UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, France and Germany.
The company claims that other global markets will receive the smartphone subsequently. Sprint is expected to bring the device to its retail channels starting the 13th of March, but it is to be seen if any other carrier will launch the device by then.
The G Flex 2 is a device worth your attention as it sports a 5.5 inch 1080p curved OLED display, the octa core Snapdragon 810 SoC, a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, 2/3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 3,000 mAh battery pack.
As of now, it seems like American customers will have to wait until the 13th of March to get the smartphone. Naturally, we expect other carriers to launch the smartphone as well, so expect a word to follow in the days to come.
