Ever since Tony Fadell took reins of Google Glass, big things have been expected of the wearable. And it seems like one of the major changes could be coming in the form of design. According to a new report, the Google Glass that we’ve gotten used to seeing around us will get a complete design revamp. This comes as development on the platform has been halted with only a handful of apps making their way to the wearable.
The Glass Explorer program came to an end recently, so something like this was always on the cards. It is said that under Fadell’s leadership, there will be no Explorer program for Glass and it will only be made available to customers when the final product is ready.
The Explorer program was started by Google as a means of getting feedback on its product. But Fadell seems to be taking a slightly different approach towards Glass. So if you own Glass currently, consider yourself lucky as Google won’t be offering the device unless the product is ready for mass production.
