Google Glass has been around for quite some time now with a myriad of apps written specifically for the device. However, one glaring exception was a dedicated Facebook Messenger app. That changes today with the arrival of the Fessenger application on the wearable.
The functionality here is pretty fundamental as it allows users to receive and send messages, just like on other chat or IM applications. But considering that it’s not coming directly from Facebook, we’re a little concerned that it might go off the grid soon. But if you own Glass and have been looking for a viable Facebook Messenger alternative, this is the best option available.
Here’s an excerpt from the app’s description – “Finally, you can send, receive and reply to Facebook messages on Glass with Fessenger. No more hassle to pull your phone out of your pocket. Use this Glasware when you are out and about, or when you are multi-tasking: cooking, jogging, shopping, doing laundry, and more. Start using Fessenger today and experience it for yourself! Just say “ok glass, post an update.”
You can find the app in Google’s Glassware directory from the link below.
